Poverty is wicked!

I am not happy with some people. I just don’t know what motivates them, what is their life ambition or goal. Do they derive joy from seeing others suffer.

I was accosted by a barrow pusher yesterday. He was hungry and needed to eat. He pleaded that I atleast give him 50 Naira so that he can buy Okpa and eat. This man is old enough to be my dad, but he was begging me for food. I Nduaguba Marcellus Chukwujekwu, who am I to be the hope of a Barrow pusher. He explained that life has been hard for him, that he still has his wife and children to feed.

Meanwhile my leaders, the ones we elected or were selected for us are busy commissioning their stature (a multi-million project) while the poor man dies of hunger.

Am angry at my leaders, for they have made themselves gods and lords over us.

I cannot keep quite while people are begging me for their daily bread. A blessed nation with wicked leaders.

Poverty in Africa is a product of bad leadership!

EVANGELISM AND MINISTERATIONS, POEMS, THE GOSPEL

The Pain of Her Death.

It happened on the night of 2nd July 2017. And coincidently today is 2nd of November, exactly four months ago. She breathed her last.

To me it just a dream all I had to do was just to wake up and everything will be alright. Two times have the death of someone hurt me so much. First was my uncle, his death created a deep hole that hasn’t been filled yet. Then came my best friend’s dad. It was all shocking and sudden. I felt the pain run through my veins, my friend was in pain and I couldn’t help me.

But then my mum’s death was an entirely new experience for me. I just couldn’t explain my feelings, even now I still can’t.

Sometimes there is these sudden rush of emotions, grief. And I try never to think about or even to remember it for I know I can’t handle it.

My only consolation is that she died at peace with God. May God give her heaven as a reward for her good life on earth and for all her sufferings. Amen.

EVANGELISM AND MINISTERATIONS, THE GOSPEL

WASHED AND MADE WHITE IN THE BLOOD.

..but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.(1Jn 3:2)

Today the Church celebrates all the saints: canonized or beatified, and the multitude of those who are in heaven enjoying the beatific vision that are only known to God.

During the early centuries the Saints venerated by the Church were all martyrs. Later on the Popes set November 1 as the day for
commemorating all the Saints. We all have this “universal call to holiness.”

What must we to do in order to join the company of the saints in heaven? We “must follow in His footsteps and conform ourselves to His image seeking the will of the Father in all things.

We must devote ourselves with all our being to the glory of God and the service of our neighbor. In this way, the holiness of the People of God will grow into an abundant harvest of good, as is admirably shown by the life of so many saints in Church history”.

THERE IS NO GOD.

There is no GOD, so says the atheist. Once upon a time I only heard atheist exists, I never saw one. Then all of a sudden I began to see them, these were not atheists by birth they were my fellow brethrens, we served and worshipped God together.

Whatever that might have happened that changed their belief I do not know.

But one thing I have noticed about them is that a day never passes without them talking about Christians and their belief.

They have left but they just can’t stop talking about Christianity. Why?

They left the way, the truth and the life. So they are still struggling to convince their conscience and their spirit to accept they have no maker.

They have no peace. They are always arguing about one Christian doctrine or the other.

Let the atheist return.

Why should the heathen say, Where is now their God? But our God is in the heavens: he has done whatever he has pleased.(Ps 115:2-3)
